A key component will be that this person will contribute to key-users in SAP related to revenue and receivables, which entails owning and working closely with 3rd party SAP implementation partners to achieve the desired ERP configuration.

These SAP configuration tasks must build on to the existing SAP platform, expand for future scalability and comply with the internal SOX control requirements. Thus, close partnering with the internal SOX controls and technical accounting director, and the financial reporting team.

A key component to the revenue process is that this role will be part of designing and implementing SOX controls applicable to the financial accounting team, whilst constantly being aware of hand-sake controls of the Commercial/Medical Affairs organizations.

The financial reporting frameworks that apply are both US Gaap and IFRS.

Lead the global month- quarter- and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Own the financial close review, reviewing detailed analytical review of the trial balance, flux/variance analysis against prior periods and budget, and investigation and resolution of anomalies prior to close sign-off.

Designing and automating key dashboards on quantitative and qualitative material general accounts will be essential.

Establish and enforce reconciliation quality standards, review thresholds, and aging targets, roll-rates and report on reconciliation status and open items to accounting leadership.

Review journal entries and supporting documentation prepared by team members, ensuring proper approval, accuracy, and adequate support.

Collaborate with the inventory controller in the same accounting team, to ensure inventory, cost of sales, and related balances are aligned with revenue recognition and reported consistently across the close.

Be involved in transfer pricing accounting across the group, including the recording, monitoring, and true-up of intercompany transfer pricing arrangements, and ensure alignment with the company’s transfer pricing policy and documentation.

Partner with internal Tax finance team and external advisors to operationalize transfer pricing calculations, intercompany markups, and cost-sharing or service-charge mechanisms, and ensure they are accurately reflected in the general ledger and intercompany settlements.

Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over revenue, the close process, balance sheet reconciliations, transfer pricing, and tax-related accounting in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements.

Document and continuous support improving accounting policies and procedures.

Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors for revenue and accounts receivable, intercompany, close, transfer pricing, tax, and operational accounting matters, including preparation of audit schedules and resolution of audit requests.

Ensure compliance with US GAAP (primary) and IFRS, and applicable local statutory requirements.

Process, Systems & Leadership: Revenue specific

Serve as a finance contributor on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud initiatives, including process design, configuration input, testing, and data integrity for inventory, GL, and close-related modules.
