Associate Director Platform Engineering

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

• Strong background in server virtualization (primarily VMware) planning and design
• Experience modernizing legacy environments and implementing target‑state architectures
• Solid understanding of networking, automation and orchestration at an Enterprise level. Solid understanding networking (layer 2 and layer 3 connectivity) & storage technologies
• Knowledge of monitoring, telemetry, and observability practices
• Ability to translate business and operational needs into technical solutions
• Strong background in Automation with respect to virtualization
• Experience working across engineering, operations, and governance stakeholders
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Highly motivated, self-starter who can support multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities
• Able to provide adequate guidance and governance to project teams
• Stable, scalable, and well‑monitored technology platforms
• Reduced operational risk and faster incident resolution
• Improved system performance, transparency, and reliability
• Successful execution of modernization and transformation initiatives

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology.

The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
