Calder Search is supporting an international engineering consultancy seeking an Associate Director to lead Mission Critical and Data Centre projects across the Middle East. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, business development, and team growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary Mission Critical and Data Centre projects from concept through delivery
- Develop long term relationships with developers, hyperscale clients, investors, contractors and key delivery partners
- Identify new business opportunities and help grow the regional client portfolio
- Lead bids, proposals, fee development and commercial negotiations
- Provide technical leadership and oversight across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Manage programme, commercial performance, QA/QC and project governance
- Recruit, mentor and develop high performing engineering teams across the region
- Work closely with regional leadership to establish and grow the Mission Critical business throughout MENA
Requirements
- Consultancy experience delivering Mission Critical, Data Centre or other technically complex MEP projects
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration is advantageous)
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design and project delivery
- Proven client facing and stakeholder management experience
- Experience developing client relationships, winning work and contributing to business growth
- Strong commercial awareness, project governance and programme management experience
- Previous experience mentoring, leading or growing engineering teams

- This is a rare opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to play a key role in building and growing a regional Mission Critical business.
The Opportunity
