Role overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Associate Director (Mechanical) to help lead and grow the Building Engineering team.
The role delivers iconic projects across ANZ in sectors including defence, health, aviation and sports infrastructure.
The role can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne.
How you'll make a difference
- Lead complex multidisciplinary projects across health, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, data-centre and major building sectors.
- Lead mechanical and multidisciplinary building services design and end-to-end project delivery.
- Oversee technical quality, coordination and design management across electrical, fire protection, hydraulics and other disciplines.
- Build client relationships to support business development and a robust future-work pipeline.
- Review design calculations, specifications, models and drawings to ensure coordinated, best-practice outputs.
- Coach and mentor junior and intermediate engineers and support their technical development.
- Use an established local network to strengthen AECOM's presence and grow its national building engineering offering.
Qualities that help you thrive
- Ideally, 15 or more years of building services consultancy or contracting design experience with a strong mechanical engineering background.
