The Hosting team manages and supports infrastructure across hardware, software, operating systems, and PowerSchool products.
The role supports cloud customers through software installation and configuration, systems analysis, technical customer support, and systems administration for SaaS technologies in a multi-cloud environment.
The position works under the general direction of a Cloud Operations Manager or Technical Lead.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Triage, investigate, and resolve reported incidents and application issues.
- Troubleshoot user accounts, application access, and database performance issues.
- Perform system administration, application monitoring, software installation, configuration, updates, and upgrades.
- Operate production orchestration routines and install new customer environments.
- Support product teams with continuous integration and deployment templates and patterns.
- Perform infrastructure root cause analysis and implement preventative actions.
- Participate in customer calls, after-hours maintenance, emergency response, and 24/7 on-call rotations when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years or less of relevant and related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Availability for on-call work outside normal working hours under company policy.
- Familiarity with configuration management, orchestration technologies, programming, and operating system administration.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload with interruptions and work in a changing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Azure Cloud Certification is preferred.
