Role Overview
The Associate Automation Engineer develops and commissions automation systems using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and MES technologies.
The role is based in Vadodara and involves independent work, cross-functional collaboration, remote support, onsite commissioning, and extensive travel.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Develop automation software and PLC logic using Siemens platforms.
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens and incorporate MES reports using internal products and tools.
- Prepare functional design specifications and other technical documentation.
- Perform software FAT, electrical panel FAT, remote site support, and onsite commissioning.
- Collaborate with GEA global and local teams and other cross-functional groups.
- Troubleshoot control systems and support engineering activities from system design through commissioning.
Profile and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Controls, or a similar educational background.
- Five to eight years of work experience in automation engineering.
- Experience in dairy, chemical, food, beverage, pharma, brewery, or another process industry.
- Background in control-system software design for process or equipment control.
