The Assistant Vice President – Domestic Payments Engineering role is a full time, on site position based in Dubai.
This role is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of domestic payments platforms and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security in alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
The AVP will lead engineering teams, collaborate closely with product, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders, and drive the implementation of payment solutions that support real time transfers, clearing and settlement, and integration with core banking systems.
Day to day responsibilities include managing technical roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, supervising solution architecture, reviewing code and system performance, and coordinating incident resolution and continuous improvement activities.
The role also involves monitoring industry trends in payments, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and mentoring team members to uphold best practices in software engineering and service delivery.

Candidates should possess strong experience in payments technology and engineering leadership, including domestic payments platforms, real time payments, clearing and settlement systems, and integration with core banking or financial services infrastructure.
Candidates should possess expertise in software engineering and architecture, including system design, API integrations, microservices or distributed systems, and performance, reliability, and security best practices.
Candidates should possess skills in project and stakeholder management, such as leading cross functional teams, managing roadmaps and delivery timelines, coordinating with product, operations, risk, and compliance, and communicating technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to domestic payments, including local central bank regulations, risk and control frameworks, and standards for data protection and operational resilience.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex payment issues, optimize system performance, and apply data driven approaches to improve reliability and customer experience.
