Role Description
- The Assistant Vice President – Domestic Payments Engineering role is a full time, on site position based in Dubai.
- This role is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of domestic payments platforms and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security in alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- The AVP will lead engineering teams, collaborate closely with product, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders, and drive the implementation of payment solutions that support real time transfers, clearing and settlement, and integration with core banking systems.
- Day to day responsibilities include managing technical roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, supervising solution architecture, reviewing code and system performance, and coordinating incident resolution and continuous improvement activities.
- The role also involves monitoring industry trends in payments, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and mentoring team members to uphold best practices in software engineering and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong experience in payments technology and engineering leadership, including domestic payments platforms, real time payments, clearing and settlement systems, and integration with core banking or financial services infrastructure.
