Position Details

Assistant Venue Manager – Bar in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category.

Full-time position at Salwa Road, Doha, Qatar.

Venue Operations

  • Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with guests, employees, and departments to meet guest needs.
  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and inventories of supplies, food, and liquor.
  • Check stock, requisition supplies, manage the assigned bank, and secure funds.
  • Communicate last call at the designated closing time.

People and Guest Management

  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and respond to concerns.
  • Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and communicate clearly and professionally.

Compliance and Improvement

  • Follow safety, security, confidentiality, asset protection, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Arabic-speaking capability is indicated by the job title.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • No license or certification is required according to the source.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for a full work shift.
  • Use fine motor skills, inspect equipment visually, and move through narrow or elevated spaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, stoop, and use stairs or service ramps.
