Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the overall management and operation of the retail store.
The role covers customer service, sales performance, store standards, associate management, and team motivation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences, resolve inquiries and complaints, and support customer retention.
- Participate in sales floor activities, achieve store KPIs, and coach associates on persuasive selling techniques.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, replenishment, and product displays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, visual merchandising standards, and safety and security procedures.
- Provide guidance and coaching to associates, delegate tasks, and foster a positive work environment.
- Analyze daily and weekly sales data, identify trends, and recommend action plans to drive revenue growth.
- Prepare sales reports and performance metrics and present insights to the Store Manager.
- Conduct store audits and address operational or safety issues.
- Maintain communication with the Store Manager, Sales Executives, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of retail experience, including one to two years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Experience with visual merchandising, loss prevention, and sales reporting.
- Familiarity with retail KPIs and performance-driven environments.
