What you will be doing as Assistant Security Manager: Support daily security operations and assist the Security Manager with planning, supervision and coordination. Ensure SOPs, post orders and emergency procedures are followed and regularly reviewed. Maintain a visible security presence through patrols of guest areas, BOH, entrances and exits. Monitor CCTV and access‑control systems, reporting and following up on irregularities or defects. Prevent, respond to and assist in investigating theft, fraud, vandalism, disturbances and emergencies. Complete accurate incident reports, logs and follow‑up actions in line with hotel standards. Manage lost and found items according to policy and local requirements. Coordinate security matters with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, F&B, HR and external authorities. Conduct team briefings and communicate VIP movements, events and operational updates. Assist with investigations, statements, CCTV review and preparation of confidential reports. Support event security, VIP movements, crowd control and contractor/visitor access compliance. Contribute to emergency drills, security awareness sessions and departmental training. Lead, coach and discipline Security staff; ensure grooming, punctuality and equipment readiness. Support risk assessments and recommend preventive or corrective security measures. What we’re looking for: Diploma or degree in Security Management, Hospitality Management or a related discipline is desirable. Relevant security, fire safety, first aid or emergency-response certifications are an advantage. Competent Word, Excel, Power Point and software packages. Competent Oral and Written Communication Skills. Strong organizational and work coordinating skills to handle multiple assignments and projects Good people management skills and be able to work under pressure. Knowledge of stock control, rotas and budgetary controls ‘Can do’ attitude and a high level of energy Professionally groomed Able to manage task simultaneously; and priorities Hands-on attitude, leads by example Always goes the extra mile to ensure guests satisfaction Sense of humour
