Position Summary
The Assistant Security Manager protects hotel guests, employees, property, and secured areas.
The role includes security patrols, emergency response, investigations, access control, reporting, and employee coaching.
Security and Safety Duties
- Patrol all property areas, secure rooms, and assist guests with room access.
- Conduct emergency response drills, physical hazard inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits.
- Monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems.
- Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
- Assist guests and employees during emergencies and respond to accidents.
- Gather information, complete reports, and maintain confidentiality of reports and documents.
- Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazards, handle complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property.
- Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and use proper emergency code responses.
Team and Guest Service
- Assist management with training, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the fair treatment and open-door process.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
