Role Overview
The Assistant Sales Manager generates and manages group sales while delivering memorable hospitality experiences.
The role focuses on growing room revenue and profitability through new business development and account management.
Sales Responsibilities
- Research, prospect, and qualify leads through proactive outreach and database mining.
- Generate and convert new business to drive group sales and exceed lead-generation goals.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned market segments.
- Nurture existing accounts and develop new relationships to grow room revenue and profitability.
Sales Strategy and Closing
- Analyze hotel and market trends to create targeted sales strategies and business plans.
- Execute marketing initiatives that capture demand and meet sales goals.
- Prepare proposals, conduct site visits, negotiate terms, and secure contracts tailored to client needs.
Booking Coordination
- Coordinate room, food and beverage, and meeting-space requirements for customers.
- Enter account and reservation information accurately and promptly in the hotel sales management system.
