About the Role
Assistant Resident Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, supporting construction activities on mid-rise to high-rise building projects.
The role works alongside the Resident Engineer to oversee site activities and maintain quality, safety, technical, and compliance standards.
The role is site based.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily enabling and structural construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor quality, progress, safety, and compliance.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and construction methodologies.
- Monitor shoring, dewatering, waterproofing, PT slabs, façade works, and structural works.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams on site.
- Maintain inspection records, progress reports, photographic records, and handover documentation.
- Coordinate Enabling Works and Main Works handover documentation, including authority and slab casting records.
- Support scheduling, progress monitoring, risk identification, technical issue resolution, QA/QC, and health and safety.
- Support BIM-based coordination and technical reviews.
