- 5 8 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in substation, power, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with substation civil works such as foundations, control buildings, and cable trench systems
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, and HSE practices
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Office

Overview
- As an Assistant Resident Engineer Civil (Substations), you will support the Resident Engineer in supervising and coordinating civil works for substation construction projects. You will assist in ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, and HSE
Your role
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising civil works for substation projects, including foundations, control buildings, equipment plinths, cable trenches, and drainage works.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Review contractor submissions such as method statements, shop drawings, material approvals, and work procedures.
- Support coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
- Track project progress and report delays, risks, or technical issues to the Resident Engineer.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily logs, and inspection reports.
- Assist in implementing QA/QC procedures and ensure construction works meet required standards.
- Participate in site meetings and support communication between stakeholders including client and contractors.
- Provide support in resolving site related technical and construction challenges.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5 8 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in substation, power, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with substation civil works such as foundations, control buildings, and cable trench systems.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, and HSE practices.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards and GCC/UAE regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
- Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
- Willingness to work on site and travel as required.
