GHD is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a High Voltage Electrical Engineering background, preferably involving execution of Primary Sub-Stations.
The role joins the Construction Phase Services Team in Doha, Qatar and leads a Construction Supervision team of Engineers and Inspectors.
The position supports delivery of multiple packages within one project boundary while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and managing design review and construction supervision activities, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design and engineering review teams and ensure timely delivery of reviewed submittals and shop drawings.
- Support quality assurance processes, risk management, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and meeting documentation for internal and client reviews.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to support smooth project execution by the Construction Contractor.
- Coordinate design reviews, engineering review deliverables, site inspections, and project stakeholders with the Project Manager and Technical Director.
Requirements
- High Voltage Electrical Engineering background, preferably involving execution of Primary Sub-Stations.
- Experience or capability supporting design review and construction supervision activities.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design and engineering review teams.
- Ability to support quality assurance, risk management, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Ability to prepare progress reports, dashboards, and meeting documentation.
- Ability to liaise with clients, authorities, and project stakeholders.
