Role Description

  • The Assistant Project Manager is a full time, on site role based in Dubai.
  • This position supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring fit out and joinery projects from initiation to completion.
  • Daily responsibilities include tracking project timelines, assisting with material and equipment expediting, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • The role also involves preparing project documentation, maintaining up to date logs, supporting logistics planning for deliveries and installations, and communicating progress and issues to the project team and relevant stakeholders.
  • The Assistant Project Manager contributes to the smooth execution of projects by proactively addressing operational challenges and helping maintain safety and quality standards on site, at all times.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project support or coordination with solid Project Management knowledge, including scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Skills in Expediting and working as an Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services across multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Inspection processes to support quality checks, compliance with specifications, and reporting of site issues.
  • Understanding of Logistics Management to assist in planning deliveries, managing inventory, and coordinating site access and installation timelines.
  • Prior experience in construction, fit out, joinery, or a related technical field is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and interact with suppliers and clients.
  • Proficiency in basic project management and office software (e.g., MS Office, project tracking tools); familiarity with construction drawings is an advantage.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred. (This can be discussed during the initial meeting or interview).
