Job description
The description identifies the role as Site Engineer and assigns responsibility for coordinating civil and structural contractors at the construction site.
The role solves issues between the main contractor and other work streams, including vendors and suppliers.
The role coordinates materials, reinforcement scheduling, RMC plants, current drawings, and concrete casting methodology.
Site coordination
- Coordinate with contractors on progress, access, interfaces, completion dates, and other construction issues.
- Ensure works are constructed according to the current construction plan.
- Pass material requirements to purchasing promptly so progress is not affected.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors to maintain clean, safe, accessible, and environmentally responsible work areas.
Methods, drawings, and records
- Ensure staff understand current methods, standards, procedures, notices, information requests, forms, and records.
- Ensure method statements and shop drawings are produced according to project guidelines and plans.
- Review and sign off documents produced by staff under the role's area of control.
