Assistant Operator - High Speed Thermo (1st & 3rd Shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• ·Must exhibit a positive attitude and a good work ethic
• Loading/unloading rolls and finished product from the machine
• Assist with roll changes
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Assist with set-ups and minimizing changeover times and scrap
• Ability to attain greater skills and knowledge pertaining to operation of the thermoformer
• Assist in the production of high-quality PAC Jacket rolls
• Read and comprehend work orders
• Accurately complete “First Off Check Sheet” and other departmental paperwork
• Assist in producing product to work order specifications Dimensions Label information Placard information Targeted Run speed maintained Roll size Perforation location, performance and size Able to identify defects in the finished product

• Help in maintaining budgeted scrap levels
• Complete Quality check sheet after every roll / per required frequency
• Complete Production data entry accurately
• Stage rolls in required locations
• Basic understanding of machine mechanics
• Familiar with downstream equipment
• Close work orders (remove job packets, placard for partials, remove materials)
• Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas
• Assist in maintenance PM’s
• Help team ensure Bear Tracker data is consistently input
• Housekeeping Workbenches clean and organized Scrap removed Trash dumped Floors swept QA samples neatly placed in boxes Full QA boxes removed and tagged properly Excess or unused materials removed Must keep floor clean at all times
