Job Objective

  • Support planning and execution of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)
  • Ensure strategic alignment with DFRE and DET goals
  • Manage budgets, coordinate stakeholders, enhance event experiences

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in development and management of DSF event plans
  • Support creation of event budgets and financial controls
  • Coordinate with team members to integrate DSF events
  • Classify DSF events based on various criteria
  • Prepare communications for Event Marketing team
  • Create project one pagers with budgets and objectives
  • Collaborate with procurement on RFPs/RFIs and contracts
  • Manage on ground event/project delivery
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Serve as primary point of contact for DSF stakeholders
  • Identify innovative solutions for event management
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field
  • Professional certifications like PMP are advantageous
  • Minimum 4 years experience in event management with retail and large scale public events
  • Proven track record managing large scale festivals or retail events
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Experience drafting RFPs/RFIs and managing contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Experience with compliance and safety protocols

Key Skills & Capabilities

  • Ability to support and coordinate event planning efforts
  • Capability to assist in budget preparation and tracking
  • Skills in maintaining productive relationships with vendors and sponsors
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders
  • Understanding of marketing strategies for event promotion
  • Ability to contribute to marketing content
  • Proficiency in collecting and analyzing event data
  • Aptitude for identifying and addressing issues
  • Familiarity with digital tools and event management software
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to support and lead smaller teams
  • Skilled in working collaboratively across departments
