About the Role
Alhamad is seeking an Assistant Manager – Purchases / Purchase Executive to manage procurement of electrical materials. The role involves supplier coordination, purchase order management, material sourcing, and inventory support.

Responsibilities
- Communicate with local and international suppliers to request quotations, negotiate prices, and confirm order details
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials
- Identify reliable vendors for electrical components such as cables, breakers, switches, panels, Copper Busbars, Aluminium sheets and GI Sheets
- Coordinate with the storekeeper to monitor stock levels and avoid shortages
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, LPOs, delivery notes, invoices, and supplier agreements
- Ensure materials received meet required specifications and project standards
- Prepare comparison sheets to support procurement decisions
- Track shipments, coordinate deliveries, and resolve delays with suppliers or transport companies
- Assist in assessing supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and reliability
- Work closely with project engineers, accounts, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth procurement operations
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an electrical or construction company
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Familiarity with electrical components used in construction, MEP, or industrial projects
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word), ERP systems, or procurement software
- Basic negotiation ability to secure competitive pricing
- Accuracy in documentation and order tracking
- Ability to handle multiple purchase requests efficiently
