Role Overview
Oversee daily optical store operations, personnel management, and inventory control.
Support customer satisfaction by providing a positive experience and keeping associates engaged.
The Specifics
- Monitor and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals, including reviewing the P&L.
- Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Provide outstanding customer service and ensure associates do the same.
- Ensure quality standards are met, review remakes, and enforce policies.
- Communicate with management and corporate teams and provide store reporting.
- Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place.
- Supervise and motivate Opticians, Contact Lens Sales associates, and, in some stores, receptionists.
- Assist with staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, and retention.
- Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
Suitable Talent
- Optical sales experience is required.
- Supervising experience is preferred.
- Ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
- Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team management.
