Role Overview
Assistant Manager responsible for overseeing daily optical store operations, personnel management, inventory control, and customer experience.
The role supports store performance while helping associates deliver a positive experience from start to finish.
The Specifics
- Monitor and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals, including reviewing the P&L.
- Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
- Ensure associates provide outstanding customer service and that quality standards are met.
- Review remakes and enforce policies to maintain compliance.
- Communicate with management and the Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
- Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and communicated to associates and doctors.
- Supervise and motivate Opticians, contact lens sales associates, and, in some stores, receptionists.
- Assist with staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, and retention of qualified staff.
- Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
Suitable Talent
- Optical sales experience is required; supervising experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
