Job Purpose and Impact
The Assistant Manager - Maintenance is based at the Doddaballapura plant in Bangalore.
The role plans routine maintenance for plant assets and equipment and develops job plans to improve workforce efficiency and work-package quality.
The position supports maintenance, reliability, and organizational engineering goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance and complete engineering records accurately and on time.
- Support CAPEX projects, documentation, and purchase requests.
- Procure spares, equipment, and maintenance materials with the procurement team.
- Train maintenance and utilities personnel.
- Manage boiler licenses, AMC and CMC renewals, calibrations, and legal metrology activities.
- Maintain plant and utility layouts and obtain authority approvals where applicable.
- Maintain plant equipment, measuring devices, and critical safety devices under EHS and FSQR requirements.
- Implement EHS, FSQR, manufacturing excellence, reliability excellence, and value creation programs.
- Manage the engineering department budget and operations.
- Maintain critical spares and accurate inventories of engineering materials.
- Coordinate inter-plant asset transfers and vendor repairs, including receipt of returnable assets.
