The role includes Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows services, along with enterprise backup administration, monitoring, and recovery operations. The engineer will also perform assessments, reporting, compliance activities, and enable automation using scripting/AI tools.
Administer Active Directory (Users, Groups, GPOs, OU structure)
Maintain DNS, DHCP, and RADIUS (NPS) services
Manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) including installation, configuration, and upgrades
Ensure high availability and performance optimization of Windows infrastructure
Manage and monitor enterprise backup solutions (e.g., NetBackup, BackupExec, Veeam, Commvault, or similar)
Perform backup scheduling, configuration, and policy management for servers, databases, and applications
Ensure successful completion of daily backups and troubleshoot failed backup jobs
Perform data restoration (file-level, VM-level, and application-level) as per business requirements
