Role Overview
The position supports O2C accounting and guides a team while optimizing processes, ensuring quality, and maintaining client satisfaction.
The role involves strict deadlines, a high-pressure business environment, analytics, technology, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Handle activities related to EMEA VAT compliance.
- Prepare UK and EMEA VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and other associated filings on time.
- Extract and reconcile VAT data from financial reporting systems.
- Analyze monthly AR, AP, intercompany, and GL transaction reports.
- Perform VAT control checks and prepare VAT journals for review.
- Reconcile GL accounts with VAT returns.
- Coordinate with AP, billing, finance, payroll, tax, and treasury teams.
- Assist the VAT Compliance Manager with authorities, clients, and VAT queries.
- Support colleagues and process metrics reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, economics, or finance, or a master's degree in finance.
- Accounts payable certification, CFA, CPA, or CTP certification is listed as an additional qualification.
