Assistant IT Manager

Position Summary

Technical Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot software and systems and recommend solutions to business problems.
• Operate computer and peripheral equipment and maintain applications and user accounts.
• Record communication transactions, technical problems, remedial actions, and installation activities.
• Train users on hardware and software.
• Coordinate client/server support and telecommunications planning, operations, maintenance, and resources.
• Advise on telecommunications policies, priorities, technical problems, and methods.

Team and Operations Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Maintain positive working relationships and support shared team goals.
• Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
• Follow company policies, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and meet quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.
