Assistant IT Manager

Position Summary

IT and Telecommunications

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems involving computer software and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for business problems.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements.
• Maintain applications, user accounts, data communication records, and installation activity records.
• Train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
• Coordinate telecommunications planning, design, operations, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Advise on telecommunications policies, technical problems, priorities, and methods.

People and Process Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the fair treatment and open-door policy process.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Follow company policies, protect company assets, and communicate professionally.
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
• Enter and locate information using computers and Point of Sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified.
• No license or certification is specified.

Physical Requirements

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Visually verify information and use computers to enter and locate information.
