Role overview

Housekeeping operations

• Assist in overseeing daily housekeeping operations and efficient service delivery.
• Supervise room attendants, public area attendants, laundry staff, and housekeeping supervisors.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Monitor room status and coordinate with Front Office for timely room availability.
• Plan daily assignments and staffing schedules based on occupancy and operational requirements.

People and quality management

• Train, coach, and develop housekeeping colleagues to improve productivity and service quality.
• Monitor supplies, linens, uniforms, and guest amenities while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure maintenance issues are reported and resolved promptly.
• Handle Lost & Found items according to hotel policies and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support guest complaint investigations and service recovery actions.

Compliance and reporting

• Monitor departmental expenses and support cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and fire safety regulations.
• Prepare operational reports, room inspection records, and productivity reports.
• Act on behalf of the Housekeeping Manager during their absence.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Three to five years of housekeeping experience, including one to two years in a supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and quality inspection procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of housekeeping inventory control and cost management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Microsoft Office and hotel management systems proficiency is preferred.
