Job Summary

Entry-level management position supporting daily Housekeeping, Recreation or Health Club, and Laundry activities when applicable.

Directs and works with employees to clean and maintain guestrooms and public spaces, complete inspections, and address corrective action.

Supports guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED plus two years of housekeeping or related professional experience.
  • Alternatively, a two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.

Housekeeping Operations and Budgets

  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee lost-and-found procedures and prepare work assignments from room-cleaning and checkout lists.
  • Inventory stock, linen, and guest supplies and assist with ordering.
  • Communicate guestroom status to the Front Desk and coordinate maintenance needs with Engineering.
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Supervise shifts, inspections, staffing, policies, standards, and procedures, including coverage during management absences.

Guest Service

  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking supervisory assistance when necessary.
  • Review comment cards and guest-satisfaction results with employees.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service within established guidelines.

Human Resources Activities

  • Support training initiatives and participate in employee accident investigations when needed.
  • Communicate performance expectations, coach employees, and provide service-performance feedback.
  • Manage payroll administration and staffing levels.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, progressive discipline, and performance appraisal processes.
  • Use the Labor Management System to schedule according to business demand and track employee time and attendance.

Schedule and Workplace

  • The position is scheduled as full time.
  • The role is based at West Bay, Doha, Qatar, and is not remote.
  • The position supports physical hotel housekeeping and public-space operations.
