About the Resort
InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront resort on Hayat Island in Ras Al Khaimah.
The resort offers rooms, villas, residences, restaurants, bars, spa facilities, and leisure experiences for families, couples, and groups.
Role Overview
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports smooth day-to-day Front Office operations and works closely with the Front Office Manager.
The role focuses on welcoming guests, maintaining luxury service standards, developing colleagues, and delivering consistent guest experiences.
Daily Front Office Operations
- Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations and smooth shifts.
- Lead and support Front Office colleagues in delivering professional, personalized, and attentive service.
- Remain present in lobby and guest areas to support seamless arrivals and departures.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns and follow through on positive resolutions.
- Supervise shifts, allocate responsibilities, and ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
Team and Service Leadership
- Coach, train, and provide regular feedback to colleagues.
- Ensure Front Office procedures, systems, security, billing, and credit policies are followed.
- Support upselling initiatives and identify opportunities to maximize room revenue and guest experience.
- Inspect Front Office and guest areas and address service or operational gaps.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Reservations, Concierge, and other departments.
Duty Management
- Act as Manager on Duty when required.
- Support the team during emergency or crisis situations.
Experience and Skills
- Previous Front Office or Guest Services experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Previous assistant management experience and strong knowledge of Front Office operations.
- Confident, hands-on leadership with strong guest recovery, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of Front Office systems and hotel operating procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team.
- Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
