Position Summary

Support banquet event operations and ensure staff work together as a team.

Communicate with guests, employees, and departments to meet guest needs and fulfill special event arrangements.

Event Operations

  • Set up banquet areas and rooms, including furniture and equipment, while maintaining cleanliness.
  • Inspect table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and compliance with group requirements and company standards.
  • Resolve setup and service problems and document pertinent information in department logbooks.

People and Guest Service

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
  • Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and provide genuine appreciation.

Policies and Standards

  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
  • Complete safety training and certifications and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, preserve confidentiality, and use clear professional communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • No license or certification is specified.

Schedule and Work Conditions

  • The position is full time and not remote.
  • The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance.
