Position Summary
Support the Corporate Controller with external and internal financial reporting, consolidation, and SOX compliance.
Combine hands-on IFRS technical accounting with oversight of the Mexican accounting function.
About the Company
The company is a Vancouver-based silver and gold company focused on the Panuco project in Sinaloa, Mexico.
The company is listed on the TSX and NYSE American, reports under IFRS, and is subject to Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.
The finance team is expanding reporting, control, and consolidation capabilities across Canadian and Mexican entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly general ledger closing for the parent company and holding companies.
- Develop consolidation and local reporting packages and prepare subsidiary consolidations.
- Prepare financial statement and MD&A working papers.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and liaise with auditors and technical advisors.
- Support external audits and maintain SOX working papers and internal controls.
- Assist with finance reporting best practices and manage ad hoc projects.
