Position Summary
The Assistant Coach must be committed and student-focused and work collaboratively with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally while upholding the values and expectations of the school and athletic department.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the assigned sport's fundamentals, strategies, and player development
- Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and families.
- Ability to meet all district and state coaching certification requirements.
- Knowledge of the assigned sport's fundamentals and strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
- Teaching license and/or employment within the district.
- Experience working with adolescent students or developing youth programs.
- Background in strength and conditioning principles.
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level.
- Demonstrated commitment to character development and positive team culture.
