Position Overview
Assistant Chief Engineer role at The Lana, part of Dorchester Collection Dubai.
The position supports hotel engineering operations, maintenance, asset protection, and service standards under the Director of Engineering.
Contract and Status
- Contract type is permanent.
- Employment status is full time.
What You'll Do
- Manage hotel property operations, equipment maintenance and repair services, asset protection, structural aspects, grounds, and external facilities.
- Supervise engineering teams, contractors, subordinate managers, and supervisors.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
- Support capital expenditure planning and lead small CAPEX projects from scope and budgeting through handover and close-out.
- Coordinate with operational departments to minimize disruption and support an exceptional guest experience.
- Advise senior management on engineering support, environmental controls, operational efficiency, regulations, safety, and documentation.
- Implement departmental and corporate SOPs, LSOPs, policies, standards, and procedures.
