- Identify high quality, commercially viable international wines with massive customer potential in the Australian market
- Manage and nurture strategic relationships with international wineries, brokers, and trade agents
- Confidently negotiate commercial terms, pricing, volumes, and highly lucrative exclusivity agreements with overseas producers
- Build, track, and manage a data driven category plan for the entire imported wine segment
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer trends to identify fresh gaps and premium product opportunities in the market
Requirements
- Proven experience in wine buying, category management, or procurement (direct import/supply chain experience is a massive plus)
- Deep wine knowledge paired with sharp, data driven commercial instincts
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Highly organized with strong analytical, forecasting, and inventory planning capabilities
- A genuine love for the global wine scene and tracking international beverage trends

Key Responsibilities
- Source Global Talent: Identify high quality, commercially viable international wines with massive customer potential in the Aussie market.
- Build Global Alliances: Manage and nurture strategic relationships with international wineries, brokers, and trade agents.
- Own the Deal: Confidently negotiate commercial terms, pricing, volumes, and highly lucrative exclusivity agreements with overseas producers.
- Master the Category: Build, track, and manage a data driven category plan for the entire imported wine segment.
- Spot the Gaps: Develop a deep understanding of consumer trends to identify fresh gaps and premium product opportunities in the market.
What You Bring to the Table
- The Groundwork: Proven experience in wine buying, category management, or procurement (direct import/supply chain experience is a massive plus!).
- Palate & Plan: Deep wine knowledge paired with sharp, data driven commercial instincts. You know what tastes good and what sells well.
- Negotiation Edge: Excellent communication and relationship management skills. You know how to strike a win win deal across cultures and time zones.
- Structure & Sync: Highly organized with strong analytical, forecasting, and inventory planning capabilities.

Compensation & Work Model
- Salary: $70 80k + Super
- Work Model: Hybrid (2/3 days per week WFH)
