The College of Health Sciences invites applications for Respiratory Therapy faculty at Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate a broad range of Respiratory Therapy courses.
  • Evaluate student progress and manage learning-environment resources.
  • Liaise with industry and educational institutions and participate in industry advisory committees.
  • Coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area.
  • Maintain course portfolio documents required for accreditation.
  • Engage in instructional development and improvement plans.
  • Contribute to professional and community life within and beyond the university.

Education and Experience

  • A PhD or doctorate in Respiratory Therapy or a respiratory-related health field is required.
  • Candidates with a doctorate outside Respiratory Therapy must hold a graduate and/or undergraduate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • An unrestricted license, or eligibility for one, in the program's state or country is required.
  • RRT credentials from NBRC or CSRT are preferred.
  • Applicants need demonstrated academic experience and Respiratory Therapy practice.
  • The role requires at least five years of recent full-time-equivalent academic experience and two years of clinical practice experience.
