Assistant/Associate Professor in Economics

Overview

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics and related areas of specialization.
• Teach a range of courses such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, International Economics, Public Economics, and other specialized fields as required.
• Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance and sustain student success.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable, peer-reviewed journals indexed in recognized databases (e.g., Scopus).
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations where applicable.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and academic program enhancement in alignment with university and college standards.
• Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Support and contribute to local and international accreditation processes.
• Promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and data-driven decision-making among students to prepare them for careers in academia, government, financial institutions, and the private sector.
• Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment conducive to academic excellence.
• Engage in community outreach and professional activities that strengthen the relationship between the university and the broader economic and business community.
