Role Description
The employer is seeking a precise, analytical, and reliable finance professional for a mid-level role.
The role owns full-set bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliations, period-end closing, and operational AR/AP activities.
The position reports to the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant and collaborates with stakeholders, tax agents, and external auditors.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate ledger postings and manage month-end accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and support period-end financial closing processes.
- Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations and oversee operational AR/AP functions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare GST, SST, and VAT compliance filings.
- Analyze budget variance trends and support annual audit preparation.
- Prepare lead schedules, audit documentation, and financial reports including trial balances, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow schedules.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in general ledger functions, journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and closing procedures is required.
- Practical knowledge of local direct and indirect tax regulations is required.
- Experience with audit schedules, fixed asset registers, and documentation for internal and external auditors is required.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems or cloud accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero, QuickBooks, or AutoCount is required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and financial modeling formulas, is required.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, ethical standards, and time management are required.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
