Role Description
Support daily accounting operations, maintain sub-ledgers, and help ensure smooth financial workflows.
Work with Senior Accountants, Finance Managers, and cross-departmental teams in an entry-to-mid level accounting role.
Accounting Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Perform routine bank reconciliations and review employee expense claims.
- Issue customer invoices and audit vendor statements against purchase orders.
- Manage petty cash disbursements and update fixed asset schedules.
- Assist with month-end closing entries and prepare audit schedules.
- Maintain confidential financial records and support transactional accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Foundational ACCA, CPA, or equivalent coursework is an asset.
- Require 1–2 years of practical experience with AP, AR, general ledger entries, and double-entry accounting.
- Require experience with reconciliations, invoicing, expense claims, and transaction accuracy.
- Require intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookup formulas, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and filters.
- Require basic knowledge of local direct and indirect tax rules and professional communication skills.
Systems and Professional Skills
- Exposure to cloud accounting software or ERP platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, AutoCount, or Sage.
- High numerical accuracy, attention to detail, time management, and integrity regarding financial data privacy.
