Position Overview
The Assistant Accountant supports the Finance and Administration team at Elite Kids Sports Club.
The role manages daily accounting activities, financial records, transactions, payments, expenses, reporting, and reconciliations.
Accounting Responsibilities
- Record daily transactions and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment requests, and supporting documents.
- Monitor customer and student fee payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Record and reconcile revenues from training fees, camps, events, and other income.
- Assist with bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations.
Finance Administration
- Verify expenses and invoices before processing payments.
- Maintain organized financial files and monitor petty cash documentation.
- Assist with payroll calculations and track staff, coach, travel, accommodation, and operational expenses.
- Assist with monthly financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
- Maintain VAT records and support internal and external audits.
Coordination and Conduct
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, and Management on financial and administrative matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial and employee information.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- One to three years of relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Good numerical, analytical, organizational, time-management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience with accounting software is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic UAE accounting requirements is advantageous.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,500 to AED 4,000 per month.
Workplace
- The role is located in Dubai, UAE.
- Work location is in person.
