Assembly Technician

Role Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform locomotive component overhauling or remanufacturing according to drawings, instructions, and schematics.
• Inspect assemblies, perform in-process checks, and record findings against defined parameters.
• Report incidents, near misses, faulty operations, and product imperfections.
• Maintain tool management records and mechanical repair documentation.
• Generate Kaizen improvements and resolve assembly problems.
• Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain inventory, verify supplies, and complete production and quality check sheets.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and support other departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least two years of industrial experience in a manufacturing assembly line.
• Demonstrated experience in production processes and quality.
• Hands-on experience in tool management.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in teams.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and travel for on-the-job training.
