About the Role
Lam Research is hiring an Assembler 2 to perform electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly on wafer fabrication equipment in a clean-room environment. Requires 1-2 years of assembly experience and an Associate's degree or technical certificate.

Responsibilities
- Effectively use instructions and schematics, hand tools, equipment, and fixtures to assemble and install parts/hardware for wafer fabrication equipment
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities, including rework requirements to maintain workflow and production schedules
- Ensure correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of components before installation
- Contribute to audits by conducting visual inspections, verifying checklists, and performing leak checks as needed
- Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures
- Provide timely clear communication to stakeholders including production status, tasks completed, signoffs, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs
Requirements
- 1 2 years of mechanical or related assembly experience
- Associates Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering or related field
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English
- Able to work 12 hour shifts in fast paced and time sensitive environment
- Proficiency in computer based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software
- Proficient use of a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment for assembly and maintenance tasks
- Ability to frequently position oneself (bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) and move parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to distinguish various wires by color, size, thickness, markings, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in semiconductor capital equipment industry is nice to have.
