Role overview
The Area Sales Manager will manage business development, strategic planning, and sales for Display Electronics market segments in India.
The role focuses on generating and converting sales opportunities across territories and targeted accounts in the Display Electronics ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, penetrate, and map key accounts across the Display Electronics manufacturing ecosystem in India.
- Work with OEMs, contract manufacturers, original design manufacturers, and convertors.
- Represent the 3M Display and Electronics portfolio through presentations, training, and conferences.
- Build relationships with customer decision makers and provide customer service support.
- Collaborate with global and regional account, marketing, and application development teams.
- Specify 3M products on engineering drawings and support transition to Indian manufacturing locations.
- Build and manage distributor and convertor sales teams in the territory.
- Travel extensively across India based on customer needs.
Required qualifications
- At least five years of experience in electronics or a related industry.
- Background or exposure to display electronics, consumer electronics, or automotive and automotive component segments.
