Role Overview
The Area Manager, Sort Center role is described as an Operations Manager position.
The manager will manage a team and facilitate information flow across stakeholders to resolve issues affecting customer experience and business continuity.
The role requires basic logistics knowledge, clear written and oral communication, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage a shift and identify opportunities to improve team performance.
- Drive associated change-management initiatives through completion.
- Develop or use performance metrics to improve team performance and business results.
- Identify business impacts of trends and make data-backed decisions.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, suppliers, Finance, Operations Excellence, and Fulfillment Centers.
- Escalate information and data problems or variances and follow through on resolutions.
- Pull data from databases and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 1 year of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
