Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with group goals across the area
- Review analytical reports and perform quality control checks
- Supervise and support lab managers within the area; step in as acting lab manager when required
- Lead the planning and execution of new lab setups across the area
- Ensure all operations comply with local laws, health and safety standards, and industry regulations
- Track and report KPIs to the Regional Manager; prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Strengthen key client relationships and respond to inquiries
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement; lead initiatives to streamline processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 10 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a regional or multi site role
- Minimum 2 years as a supervisor/manager
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of French is a plus)
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and KPI reporting
- Must be physically fit and willing to travel internationally

Role Summary
- We are seeking an Area Manager to oversee and coordinate operational activities across a designated region, ensuring efficient delivery of laboratory services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with group goals across the area.
- Review analytical reports and perform quality control checks.
- Monitor ongoing jobs and investigate any overdue tasks.
- Supervise and support lab managers within the area; step in as acting lab manager when required.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for lab managers.
- Ensure labs are adequately staffed, trained, and equipped.
- Lead the planning and execution of new lab setups across the area.
- Ensure all operations comply with local laws, health and safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Track and report KPIs to the Regional Manager; prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Strengthen key client relationships; respond to inquiries.
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement; lead initiatives to streamline processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of French is a plus).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
- Problem solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with quality assurance principles and lab operations.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Experience
- 5 10 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a regional or multi site role.
- Minimum 2 years as a supervisor/manager.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Experience in setting up new facilities or labs is a strong asset.
- ISO17025 systems awareness, internal auditing and method validation where applicable.
Additional Requirements
- Must be physically fit to meet the job’s inherent requirements.
- Willingness to travel to laboratory sites as required, including internationally.
