Role Description

  • As an Area General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall performance, operations, and strategic execution of multiple business functions within a designated area of responsibility.
  • You will provide leadership and direction to ensure operational excellence, business growth, customer satisfaction, and achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Your role involves developing and implementing business strategies, monitoring performance metrics, and driving initiatives that improve productivity, profitability, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional teams and work closely with department heads to align operational activities with organizational goals.
  • Oversee resource planning, performance management, budgeting support, and business planning activities.
  • Analyze business performance data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen governance practices, and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee execution of key projects, manage business risks, and support organizational transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in business administration, management, finance, economics, engineering, operations management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, strategic planning, performance management, and organizational leadership principles.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis knowledge.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Strong project and operational management skills.
  • Familiarity with performance reporting systems, business intelligence tools, and operational excellence frameworks is advantageous.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
  • Strong adaptability and resilience in managing complex business challenges and organizational change.
