Role Overview
Join a construction and contracting company as an Architectural Drafter.
Prepare architectural, construction, shop, and detailed finishing drawings for project delivery.
Location
- The role is advertised in Doha, Qatar.
Compensation
- The advertised salary is up to QAR 7,500; no pay cadence is specified.
Employment Type
- The employment type is full-time.
Drawing Production
- Prepare architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and other technical drawings.
- Prepare shop drawings based on project requirements and specifications.
- Develop drawings from architectural designs and instructions from engineers or project managers.
- Prepare detailed drawings for ceilings, flooring, walls, doors, marble, stone, and other architectural elements.
Coordination and Quality
- Coordinate drawings with engineers, project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other project team members.
- Review drawings for dimensions, levels, materials, and technical accuracy.
- Revise drawings based on consultant and client comments and project requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology, Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in architectural drafting or construction.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of architectural drawings, construction details, and technical drafting.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and detailed construction drawings.
- Previous experience in Qatar or GCC construction projects is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail, deadline management, communication, and coordination skills.
