Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Design rail infrastructure systems, including track layouts, stations, signaling systems, and operational infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments of project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare architectural drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation using CAD and related tools.
• Analyze complex requirements and develop solutions balancing performance, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and external stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and international rail-industry best practices.
• Oversee implementation, provide technical guidance and quality assurance, and manage design records and project deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews and monitor emerging rail infrastructure technologies and trends.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in rail infrastructure design, transportation systems architecture, or related engineering disciplines.
• Expertise in rail system design covering track systems, stations, signaling, and operational infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD software and design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of EN, IEC, local UAE, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to railway projects.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from concept through completion and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, organizational, interpersonal, and English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of BIM and integrated design methodologies is preferred.
• Experience with cost estimation and budget management for infrastructure projects is preferred.
