Architect

Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee design from concept through construction and project completion, ensuring functional, efficient, commercially viable, and technically compliant solutions.
• Apply knowledge of material selection, façade systems, architectural detailing, construction methodologies, and urban and public realm integration.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, consultants, and government authorities to support compliance, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out timely authority design reviews and coordinate integrated reviews across all disciplines.
• Communicate design implications on the master plan and coordinate with RTA, DEWA, and other authorities to align the master plan with GIS systems.
• Generate architectural concepts, including massing, layouts, and façade direction, and review proposals for quality and coherence.
• Optimize layouts to meet authority regulations and keep development planning parameters within master plan limits.
• Integrate architecture with structural and MEP systems and the wider master plan and urban context.
• Apply master planning and urban planning principles covering land use, density, circulation, and built form relationships.
• Support public realm elements, including connectivity, pedestrian experience, and placemaking.
• Manage consultants and contractors, challenge proposals where necessary, and ensure adherence to DIEZ regulations.
• Ensure consistency in architectural language and overall design quality.
• Ensure site inspections are completed as required and proactively address approval-related risks.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture is mandatory.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in architectural design and urban planning.
• Proven experience with authority regulations and standards.
• Experience in the UAE and familiarity with local authority processes are preferred.
• Project management skills and advanced knowledge of MS Office packages.

Technical and Software Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and InDesign.
• Ability to communicate design ideas effectively through visual and technical tools.
