Your Opportunity
Support Stantec’s 2026 archaeology field season from the Hamilton/Stoney Creek, Ontario office.
Organize, lead, and supervise field technicians delivering archaeological services across Ontario.
Work on projects involving transportation, community development, infrastructure, oil and gas, aggregates, and mining.
Field Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform archaeological assessments and mitigations using survey, testing, excavation, surface collection, and monitoring.
- Quality-control fieldwork and data under MCM Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.
- Supervise, lead, and motivate Archaeology Field Technicians.
- Respond to changing project, equipment, material, and personnel needs.
Project and Community Work
- Work with senior technical advisors, Project Managers, and Task Managers to deliver high-quality products.
- Assist with advanced technical methods, techniques, documents, and tools.
- Work with Indigenous communities to build relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and collaboration.
- Travel within Ontario and stay overnight for extended durations when required.
